Shelford Girls' Grammar ABCA visit

On Thursday 24 November we were excited to welcome a group of 8 Year 9 Shelford Girls’ Grammar students with their 2 high-energy teachers to our ABCA shed to help us pack 30 boxes for our next shipment to Africa.

The volunteering session was organised by the school as part of “Environmental/Sustainability Week”.

The group arrived at the Shed bright and early with boxes of used books which they collected. They were introduced to our charity, we discussed why we do what we do and specifically, in line with their current studies, the importance of not pulping pre-loved books but rather sending books to be enjoyed by our communities in Africa.

The girls sorted, stamped and packed in record time!

Thank you - it was a pleasure to spend time with you.
