Katuba Literacy in Zambia

A few years ago, Mwanja Ng'anjo, the founder of a registered NGO in Zambia called Katuba Literacy & Outreach Centre, contacted us requesting books. Mwanja was using her own resources to conduct book drives in South Africa and transporting them to Zambia to distribute to under-resourced schools. When she contacted us at the beginning of 2023 she proudly let us know that in 2022, Katuba Literacy managed to collect and distribute close to 2000 books (compared to 500 in 2021).

We were thrilled to jump onboard and overcame the hurdle of getting our books to Zambia. Three years later and countless books later Katuba Literacy is reponsible for distributing many ABCA books in remote areas of Zambia.

Recently Mwanja wrote on Facebook:

“Oh, happy day! 🎉 We're soooo happy that, once again, we were able to donate books to Kampemba School in Mpongwe. The excitement on the young learners' faces made it all worthwhile! What a wonderful day.

A huge thank you to ABCA ! We truly value our partnership in bringing the joy of reading to children in Zambia.”
