The Rotary Club of Westville donated books to the LEARN Project for distribution

Dear Australian Books for Children of Africa,

Thank you so much for the generous donation of 20 boxes of beautiful children’s books to our organisation, The LEARN Project which stands for Lets Educate A Rainbow Nation. These books have been sorted into age groups and Grades applicable to our South African schools and we have already covered many in plastic and added them to accession registers for libraries and book corners that we have launched over September Literacy month.

Schools that have received books from Australian Books for Children of Africa so far are Bright Future Special School, Tongaat School for learners with special educational needs, Quarry Heights Primary School, Bhekizizwe Primary School and we are currently covering books for Mthubi Primary School to be handed over in October.

These books will make a noticeable difference in these disadvantaged schools and the teachers, learners and principals are most grateful for each and every book received. Thank you to everyone who so generously donated books and helped sort them.
